Kick Off Picone (en)

After organizing the first Kick-Off in the Enziteto neighborhood to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Pigment, the second edition moved to the heart of Bari.
Thanks to the request from Action Aid, we gathered about 20 young people under 20 with migration stories to take part in over 20 hours of workshops to replicate the experience of combining sports and art.
This time, the opportunity was to revitalize a skating rink in the Picone neighborhood, informally used by the local kids to play football.
Our community inserted itself into that space, designing the team identities for two teams, “Cambio” and “Dhimba”, in preparation for the final tournament.

The stamps they created for printing on the shirts were later transformed into footwear, allowing them to step on the field and create patterns that served as the backdrop for everyone to follow Marioiks in creating the second layer of colors, which were also printed on the shirts using an all-over screen printing technique.
In March 2025, finally, our young footballers were able to play on the field they colored, wearing the uniforms they designed, in a celebration marking the reopening of the park, which now also features a public art installation.
