The work is the result of the artist’s personal research on the theme of masks, folklore and the carnival related to the world of childhood and the curious desire for new adventures. “I decided to overturn the concept of the Western explorer discovering unknown civilizations – comments Ruggero Asnago – and I represented 3 masked characters who find an open book and, questioning themselves about the object, discover a new window to the world, from where spring forth shapes and colors, imagination and fantasy. The best companions of life.”

The intervention is part of the #IoSaròLettore public art project funded by the notice STHAR-LAB of the Apulia Region and entrusted by the Municipality of Putignano to the Cultural Association Pigment Workroom.
