A mural on the urban theme, created together with the community as a result of an artistic residency to discover the territory: this is the work created, in Conversano, by the artist French Eltono. The creation of the mural is part of the participatory urban art project “A talk with the city,” conceived by Pigment Workroom, with the collaboration of Ziczic, Cime and Contempo, and with the valuable support of the Museum Pole “Museco” of the city of Conversano.

The initiative was realized with the aim of enhancing the territory through an experience of immersive art shared with the students of the city’s secondary schools. The latter participated in some exploratory walks together with the artist, which were followed by workshop moments on the theme of screen printing, curated by Pigment Workroom with the support of Ziczic. Activities during which Eltono combined his experimental gaze with a reflection historical and cultural reflection on the city, according to a multidisciplinary and participatory approach that has also led to the creation of some works that were displayed in front of the mural, to then be moved in a permanent form to the premises of the Conversano info point. “A talk with the city” is a public art project funded by the STHAR LAB notice of the Apulia Region and entrusted by the Municipality of Conversano to the cultural association Pigment Workroom in collaboration with artist Eltono, Museum Pole “Museco” of the city of Conversano, CIME, APS ZICZIC and CONTEMPO.
